In Defense of…

At themediabyus, we pride ourselves on our disagreements. These sticking points can be anything from an unforgivable preference for La La Land to Brent’s penchant for playing Skyrim (still) to Topher Grace. I tend to plant my flag in the ground more often than I should when it comes to preference in media. I am rarely lukewarm on a series and instead opt for blind advocacy.

For this reason, we are going to launch a semi-regular feature where we defend our flawed love for tv, movies, games and music called In Defense Of…

For the first entry, I’m going to go through the highly flawed but higherly entertaining Furious movies in the chronological order of the plot. This means we’ll be watching the movies in the following order: 1, 2, “Los Bandoleros,” 4, 5, 6, Better Luck Tomorrow, then 7. I have no extensive knowledge of cars and less knowledge of competitive racing.

Archer's Pam Poovey
Unless knowledge of Pam Poovey’s drag racing background from Archer Counts.

Nonetheless, in the mere weeks leading up to The Fate of the Furious, we’ll examine each of the entries in the Furious Cinematic Universe (FCU)

Next week, be on the lookout for the first entry of “In Defense of… Furious: Part 1 – The Fast and the Furious.”
